Organic Certifiers - USA

Organic Certifiers is a certification body established in 1996 by Randolph and Susan Siple as a registered certifying agent with the State of California. In 2002, the company was one of the first round of certifying agents accredited by the USDA under the National Organic Program. Organic Certifiers was granted IFOAM and ISO65 Accreditation by the IOAS in 2005.

The Organic Certifiers office is based on a certified organic avocado ranch near Ventura, California with stunning views of the Pacific coast. The growing company has certification activity within the United States, mainly within California itself, but also internationally.

In 2002, Organic Certifiers was granted USDA authority to issue Export Certificates for products bound for Japan under the export arrangement between the USDA and Japan. Organic Certifiers also has been granted recognition by the Quebec Accreditation Council CAAQ for certified products accepted for sale in Quebec.

Organic Certifiers is structured as a private partnership between a husband and wife team and achieves the necessary impartiality and participation of interested parties of operation through an oversight structure and mechanisms implemented by the Board of Directors and Certification Committee with members, in both structures, representing varied interests including, production, environment, handling and processing, science and horticulture. Day to day certification decisions are taken by staff which are reviewed quarterly by the Certification Committee, thereby ensuring a fair and objective implementation of programme requirements.

The IFOAM Accredited Programme of Organic Certifiers the products of which will carry the logo indicated here, includes crop production, processing and handling, livestock, wild products, input manufacturing and grower groups. 

As a growing company, Organic Certifiers prides itself in maintaining close communications with its certified operators and a high retention rate of returning clients. Operators certified by Organic Certifiers provide a wide range of products including avocados, citrus and other fresh fruits and vegetables, nut crops, noni, frozen desserts, coffee products, and more.
