Management
of Organic
Certification - The next course will take place on December 3-5, 2009
in Orlando, Florida, USA. The 3-day course is specifically designed for
certification body managers, quality managers and inspection and certification
personnel from organisations already active in this field.

Other custom courses and presentations as requested
A 3 day training course on 'Conformity Assessment in
Organic Agriculture' is being planned in conjunction with the authorities in
Mexico for October 2009.
The IOAS provided a two day course in Ankara,
Turkey in November 2007. The course 'Authorisation and Accreditation of
Certification bodies - International Systems and Requirements' was a
component of the EU funded project 'Strengthening Organic Agriculture in
Turkey'. For further information on the overall project, go to

Ken Commins, IOAS Executive Director, made a
presentation in Louisville, Kentucky, USA in January 2008 to a meeting of
the National Association of State Organic Programmes. The presentation
addressed the new European import rules and the Canadian Organic Regime.
