The IOAS offers training on:

Assessment of Organic Certification Bodies
is aimed at government
authorities and national accreditors. The next 3.5 day training course on 'Assessment of organic
certification bodies' is planned to take place on September 29 - October 2,
2008 in Frick, Switzerland. Download the

Management
of Organic
Certification - Two courses on organic certification are available in
2008. The first will be held on September 24 - 26 in Frick, Switzerland. The second course will be held
on December 1-3 in Nanjing, Peoples Republic of China. The 3 day course is specifically designed for
certification body managers, quality managers and inspection and certification
personnel from organisations already active in this field.

Other custom courses and presentations as requested
The IOAS provided a two day course in Ankara,
Turkey in November 2007. The course 'Authorisation and Accreditation of
Certification bodies - International Systems and Requirements' was a
component of the EU funded project 'Strengthening Organic Agriculture in
Turkey'. For further information on the overall project, go to

Ken Commins, IOAS Executive Director, made a
presentation in Louisville, Kentucky, USA in January 2008 to a meeting of
the National Association of State Organic Programmes. The presentation
addressed the new European import rules and the Canadian Organic Regime.
